well i just went out and pulled the wheels off the truck before it went into the paint booth and put my stock wheels on the truck
so now i can clean them up and get them looking perfect.
i washed them all with a wool mit that i use just for wheels and cleaned the tires with a light degreaser and a stiff scrub brush.
i started to work on the wheels with 3M Ultrafina and it did not help. so i moved on to 3M's polishing compound and finished them with ultrafina it helped a little but really didnt make a difference like it does with paint. so now i am thinking about trying rubbing compound then polishing compound then ultrafina but i am afraid that rubbing compound will make my scratches worse because it is extreamly abrasive.
i have been looking at DP wheel glaze and the
poorboys products what do you think is a better application for my needs. Also i am about to purchase the entire line of Pinnical products since my truck is getting repainted, is this the best line for black paint or should i be looking at different brands. I am a believer that sticking with one brand from the begining is much better than always switching but maybe i am just crazy
