Pretty comparable to most on line vendors, isn't it?

It's pretty bad...after ordering from them I can't get an account created on their forum. They have been trying for days to get my account activated. Regardless of what they do, nothing works. Is anyone else having troubles? I am a member of other forums, I can't figure out what is their problem.

I'm not sure if the "it's pretty bad" comment refers to the shipping charges, but I just checked a few vendors and came up with the following. These are multi-line vendors, not manufacturer sites such as Meguiar's or Duragloss.

AG [>$24.99 = $5.99] . [>$49.99 = $7.99] . [> $74.99 = $10.99] . [>$99.99 = $13.99]
V1 [>$24.99 = $7.95] . [>$49.99 = $8.95] . [> $74.99 = $9.95] . [>$99.99 = $11.95]
V2 [>$24.99 = $8.95] . [>$49.99 = $9.95] . [> $74.99 = $11.95] . [>$99.99 = $11.95]
V3 [>$24.99 = $6.95] . [>$49.99 = $7.95] . [> $74.99 = $8.95] . [>$99.99 = $10.95]
While there may be some differences, I guess I don't see anything I would call "very high" in comparison to some of the others. It looks like you could save a buck or two or spend an extra buck or two depending on the order size, but "pretty bad" seems like kind of a stretch.

Unfortunately do to a great deal of spammers, only one associate can approve any user for our forum. Please understand it was a step we did not want to take, but have banned more than 300 spammers in last quarter. Send an email to Meghan@autogeek.com and I am sure she can get you going, although I believe office is now closed till Tuesday for Xmas.

As for the shipping comments, I think that you must judge the pricing of the entire order to find the best price. Our shipping is first rate, and our customer service far exceeds "some" other vendors, add into that the consistent sales and special offerings and I think AG is still the clear winner overall. Shipping prices are current and being held as low as possible even though UPS, Fedex, and USPS all increased prices recently.

In ordering Corvette Aftermarket parts, I usually look at the end all pricing. That and the reputation of the seller. Just be glad we do not add the "corvette" tax like these vendors do to us Corvette owners.

Exactly and well said. I have always thought their shipping was right inline with everyone else.

I disagree, with the "some" statement. AG cust svc exceeds nearly all online vendors, detailing related or not.

On top of the examples Killr cited, add DetailFest and the frequent freebies thrown in with orders, there's really no comparison. I've bought from Bob @ Danase, Troy @ DC, and from Steve @ Poorboy's, which are all top-notch operations and have nothing to knock them for, but continually go back to AG (they rock).

Re: go to autogeek

You guys need to take into account that the shipping charges are not only covering the shipping but the box and packing materials that the products get shipped in as well as the time it takes the employee of said company to pack and label the stuff. I think that gets overlooked.

They had a BMW 750Li for a month and got rid of it because they didn't like it.

On the flip side, I work for a doctor who is a millionaire a few times over who went off on the bookeeper the other day because the monthly Poland Spring water bill had a $1.00 surcharge on it and he wasn't informed!
