Need Help! Rear Break Light Replacement.
Does anyone know how to pop off the rear tail light assembly on an 2003 Nissan Altima? Break light bulb is blown and from what I can see the only way to get at it is to pull off the lens assembly, but i can't figure out if it just pops off or needs a special tool to get at the clips. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need Help! Rear Break Light Replacement.
Actually I don't know a thing with regard specifically to the Altima tail light assembly. That said, many cars have the whole assembly attached as a unit. Typically you release the pod inside the trunk by way of clips or locking nuts.
Edit: Beemer's post hadn't hit the thread when I was typing this but I say ditto.

You might be able to try pulling back the trunk carpeting and making sure you have to remove the entire assembly. Most vehicles have a way to change the bulbs without removing the entire light assembly via a "turn style" bulb holder.

Re: Need Help! Rear Break Light Replacement.
I would go on a Nissan site and ask the members there, the only thing I know for sure is if the bulb is burnt on let's say the left side you should change the right side at the same time,so once you learn how to remove the burnt bulb, remove the other side that is still working .
