    What the heck is this?

What is Griot`s Garage selling here? At first I thought it was the old 97336 kit with the dust collection thing on it, but it doesn`t look like any PC I`ve seen before. Anyone know the model number on that thing?

Here it is. Knowing who makes it is all we needed to find out more information.

this looks to be like Griot`s...Groit`s seems to be a little different..as they said built to there specs..but the power and description fit the Groit`s model

    I was thinking this one....

Looks like Griot`s did a lot of work on this one ... then again... maybe not

The only difference looks like is the dust collection bag - which I guess is considered specifically designed for Griots... but it doesn`t seem like they designed as much as they said in the emial...

The backing plates are not the typical hook and loop plates either. The use several screws to hold them on.

I can`t imagine that Griot`s would have them design a sander to polish cars with. You would think that it would have been more suited for car polishing and left that stupid dust thing off. What good is that going to do for a car? Griot`s is full of crap if they think I`m going to believe they designed that thing.

    Griot`s Garage = PRIVATE LABELS

Buy low priced items, put on Griot`s Garage sticker, sell for much higher price, tell people to have fun.

c`mon... some PC clone made in china with a bolted on backing plate couldn`t possibly be low priced and easily available for private labeling.

Re: What the heck is this?

I forgot to mention it not only has the 4 screw backing plate it can`t be modified to work with the current Edge 2K line up.
