    Great Detail Handbook (pdf)

Found this link on a BMW forum and thought to share it...he talks about PB products so the guy can`t be all that bad.....just kidding!

Was written by Michael Cohen and looks to me from the east coast.

Holy moley!! That`s me. I wrote the guide for a big meet my S2000 owners club was having in New England. People really liked it. So, I put it up on my Comcast site and put the link on S2KI.com. I didn`t know it had made it`s way onto a BMW forum.

Way to put 2 & 2 together Budman!

Not at all! When I wrote it I had fellow S2000 owners in mind, but the techniques of course are applicable to any car.

Funny how things move from site to site on the web. I`m going through it right now. Looks very good. Must have taken you a long time to write it huh?

Dude that`s one of the better books on the subject that I`ve seen....and the best part it was posted on a BMW forum...Its really helped me when someone asks about clay and why you use it...You always have some that say clay is a waste of time, takes the clear off, scratches the surface...this really just helps bring it to light.

Absolutely! I think it took me a few months, but not of constant work. Getting all the pictures together was tough because I wanted them all to be of S2000`s since I was writing the book for S2000 owners.

Thanks for the positive comments guys!

Nice job MickeyC, I`ve just skimmed through it but it looks to be a very thorough job. Way to go.

Awesome handbook!! Thanks so much for sharing it.
Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?"
Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

    Re: Great Detail Handbook (pdf)

I have been trying for an hour to download this (dial-up). I can only get the title page. I assume because of the file size I am out of luck???

Anyone have any ideas that would allow me to view this?

High speed is available to me at work, but too many filters.

    Thanks in advance.

I just checked and the file is 7.28MB. I`m not sure how long that would take to download using dial up. However, it`s Adobe so you only see one page at a time. Did you try scrolling through the document?

Yes, I did try scrolling. My connection would quit downloading and I would check for completion however, my computer would freeze when trying to view the 2nd page. I tried this multiple times. I`ll try again in the early a.m. possibly less traffic then.

Thanks for the response, I can`t wait to read your work!

    Dave

Finally got it...40 min - no problems this time. I even had time for a nap.
