Pb Qd+

I have read on another forum that QD+ streaks. It appeared to be the general consensus. I was wondering what the experienc is here as I am considering the purchase. I have Natty's Red, S&G, EX-P and QW. My experience with these products has been good.

Thanks in advance...

Re: Pb Qd+

Just a fine mist will do, if one puts way to much then it will streak a little on you. Steve let me use it on my Mazda when i got to DFIII after my 3 1/2 hr drive there and i love it a lot. It needs a good shake and a fine mist and one is good to go.

Re: Pb Qd+

As with most detailing products, a little goes a long way, I've heard. Does anyone know if QD+ can be diluted with water? I haven't used this product but if it's like a traditional QD it may be able to be diluted. Steve?

Re: Pb Qd+

As said previously ...it only takes a very small amount and I suggest using a fine mist sprayer. Surprisingly even when you tell people less is better, they seem to go against what has been tested and advised

remember also that it contains wax, so it needs to be buffed

Re: Pb Qd+

THOROUGH buffing is needed after application. Finishes off nicely, though. Brought back a nice shine on a 2 month old finish I tried it on.

Sounds like a QD carrier with a spray wax...duh! Thanks for the input.

Re: Pb Qd+

I've had no problems with it streaking, in fact I just received my second bottle. Lightly misted application seems to be the key.

Amazing product. I have never had any problems with it. The shine it leaves has become my favorite among all my Qd's.

Re: Pb Qd+

This has been very helpful input. This product appear to augment S&W S&G, meaning the one is used to clean, one is used for traditional QD and QD+ is a booster in between full waxes. Is this a correct assumption?

Yes S+W is for cleaning
S+G is a traditional QD with no protection
and QD+ will leave a layer of Wax as protection

Re: Pb Qd+

I just got a bottle of this yesterday, of course within five minutes of receipt I was wiping down everything that had paint on it. I really like it, it made the paint on my truck look even blacker than it was before.

Just a little testament here. a couple of hours after I did my truck, my sister in law called wanting me to go pick up a piece of furniture for her, on the way I was attacked by a few bugs, when I got home they wiped right off .......have never been able to do that before

Re: Pb Qd+

Used for the first time this weekend. After a polish and sealant were down I used it as a wipe down the following day. It worked wonderfully. I sprayed it on, spread it around, wiped it off and then buffed it out after it hazed. It took a total of 4 MF to complete my Mazda Protege' 5. I found that a final buffing after completing the vehicle made all the difference.

Hey Pockets or Poorboy,

So based upon Pockets description, QD+ could almost be a replacement for Spray and Gloss? In other words, cleaning up my car with Spray and Wipe, sprucing up with Spray and Gloss and protecting with QD+ is over kill. Going straight from Spray and Wipe to QD+ will be fine.

yes it could replace S&G ..just remember the car should be clean and dry before using QD+

Re: Pb Qd+

I'm not getting the hang of this stuff. I know it is good because everything I have tried from PB is exceptional!

Last weekend I waxed the car with Souvern Paste. Today I washed the car and then thought I'd try the PB QD+ again. I tried to spray lightly. Just one squeeze on the pump. I also shook the bottle up. I could see streaking and I had to really buff to remove the streaks and wax. I ended up using PB S&G to go over the hood.

What am I doing wrong?
