I can't see the pics (Photobucket is firewalled here at work), so I'll have to look at them at home. My wife is in the Air Force and is gone for training and has our camera so I can't post up pics myself. I'll be able to post them after 11 July when she gets back from school in New Mexico.
But I can tell you that they aren't swirls. They are like little halo's expanding out only around the sun for maybe 5 inches. You can't see them unless you look at the reflection of the sun. No other light source can reproduce the effect.
Maybe I am just too picky about it. The car looks gorgeous as is.

It sounds like you need to cut a tad more than just with P-w-C can acomplish

The color is silver. And I was using a terry bonnet on my DA orbital to apply, and another to remove, then finished by using a MF bonnet for about 15 minutes. Like I said, the hood smoothed out the slight orange peel that it came with stock, so that was nice. But I think I am going to get Meguiares Machine Glaze #3 and try that. It is the lightest cutting product they have. #3, #7, % #81 all rate 1 on a scale of 1-10 for cutting.

That's one of the problems your pad selection IMO
Terry is not really a cutting material..do you have any foam cutting or polishing pads? and as I recall in your OP you have some SSR1? this is what I would start with and work that into the finish..using a cutting pad to get the swirls off, then come back with a polishing pad with P-w-C

I can't change the pad on the buffer I have. It's glued onto the part that bolts to the machine. It's a Craftsman DA orbital, not like a Porter Cable. I know that I need to get a Porter Cable (or similar). That too is on my birthday list. I have been watching a few on eBay. Maybe I'll just wait to finish the paint until I get it.
The SSR1 was on my list also. I need to order some more EX-P, so maybe I'll just get that. It should do the trick with the terry bonnet.

Your right you need to upgrade the buffer...the term DA was throwing me off...DA stands for duel action, of what Porter Cable has one and this is what I thought you where using.

get a PC DA or a flex DA.
get a few polishes, PB's 2.5 and 1.
get a good paint cleaner PB's PP
get a nice wax and a nice sealant.
get a nice selection of Pads for your DA.
get about 2 dozen microfiber towels.
This should put you on your way to good paint correction. Look for kits and specials they are all over, I believe deatil city has them.

Well, this one is DA also (orbits & spins). I don't know what the classification is. How about "Starter buffer"?
I know that having a buffer that has changable pads is a huge benefit and way more flexible for more applications.
But in the mean time, I think I'll try the SSR1 with maybe a wool bonnet. Maybe that will be aggressive enough to get those rings buffed out.
the SSR's won't work with that kind of buffer and you can't get correction with it either ... it's basically for applying wax or glazes ...

I have several paint cleaners (Meguiars cleaner wax & Poorboy's PWC). I also have Poorboy's EX-P (absolutely LOVE it) and a couple of waxes, but I prefer to just use a sealer in the 110 degree heat here in Las Vegas. I also have at least 50 MF towels.
So now it is just getting a good buffer and the pads to go with it. The one I have now works fine, except for not being able to get these micro-fine rings out.

If you have PwC, I would pick up SSR 2.5 and follow with PwC. This is a nice 2-step. I don't know what machine you have but you may need at the least a PC DA to remove swirls. They around 110 bucks, and last forever.
