    Joyriide Detailed: Supercharged Range Rover

    Joyriide Detailed: Supercharged Range Rover

Very nice car to work on and admire. Beautiful interior layout, owner has fine taste in cars. Exterior was full of etched in water spots which required some discipline , and plenty of swirling and hologramming to question the mental state of the previous "detailer". Interior was butter so I got to pay close attention to the little things, and the engine was "dusty" at most.

    Interior

    -Steam Clean
    -Meguairs APC
    -Z6 on trim
    -Z8 on leather
    -Meguairs #40
    -Poorboys QW+ on door jams

Sorry, only afters for this interior.

    Exterior

    -Dawn
    -Clay Magic Blue
    -P21S
    -Meguairs Super Degreaser
    -Gold Class Car Wash

-Meg #105 and Optimum Polish 1:1 via Purple Wool Pad @ 1200 rpms
    -Menzerna 106ff via polishing pad @ 1200rpms
-Zaino ZPC via grey pad @ Speed 6 on PC
    -Prepsol

    -Fk1 #2180
    -Black Magic Matte Tire Dressing
-Meguiars Hyper Dressing 4:1 (engine and fenders wells)
    -Poorboys Trim Restorer
    -Fk1 #425 wipe down.

    Before

A smooth cut with only superficial hologramming.

    Murky rinse water

Thank god for my garage. Weather was BAD.

    After

    Teaser. Detail to come.

As the owner was backing out of my garage, the sun had just set and made for the perfect reflections on the paint. I really like this picture

Edit: I can`t go back and fix it, but ont he interior process, I used Zaino Z10, not Z8. My mistake.

Awesome job. I especially like the reflection shot coming out of the garage. The interior came out amazing. What areas did you use the steamer on???

Everything! I spent 2 days using it around my house. I even burned some vinyl patio furniture. It makes for some streak free glass cleaning. I simply steam the glass, and wipe down the foggyness.

Looks great I am a huge fan of the Range Rover such a nice looking SUV.
I like beer. On occasion I will even drink a beer to celebrate a major event such as the fall of communism or the fact that our refrigerator is still working.

Very nice work!! Just a few questions. I have been detailing for awhile now and for a complete detail for something like that it would take me probley all day. How long did you spend on it? Also, I am using a Porter Cable now and just am not getting the results I would like. When did you switch to the rotary and do you have any suggestions with making the switch or what I should be expecting . Your black cars always look great and I would like some feedback. Thanks

I started at 10am and finished at 7:30pm. I joined the rotory club 3 years ago. If you search my old threads you might be able to find them. It was difficult because my first mistake was thinking I had to be able to finish hologram free with the rotory, at the same time, owning a jet black car with super soft paint. That made for a terrible first few rounds. I was also trying to learn with 5`` edge pads which to me felt very dense.

My advise would be to stick to softer pads and lower speeds, until you get the hand of "guiding"
the machine. Stick to flat surfaces.
