not nearly the detailer i was...

yep it's true, this summer i'm not nearly the detailer i was last summer. as a matter of fact i'm 50+ pounds less the detailer. last september i went to the doctor and weighed in at 247 lbs (i'm about 6'1" btw, not nearly the 6'9" i would need to be to weigh that much) and i said alright enough is a enough. so i decided to cut back on the softdrinks and fast food and i've dropped over 50 lbs. it's amazing how much easier it is to bend over and detail wheels now.

wow! 50lbs just from cutting out soft drinks and fast food? Any new excersise regiment in that mix? I need to drop a good 30 lbs myself. Was 180lbs when I got married 12 years ago and in excellent shape. I worked out 4 days a week without fail. Now I'm at 215 (I'm only 5'10") and haven't been near a gym in 10 years. Add the fact that I've been smoking a pack a day for almost 10 years now and the situation gets worse.

Thanks for the incentive to back in shape Tim and congrats on your success at getting back in shape!

Now get back to work!!! LOL

Natty

Wow!

Guess you guys eat a lot more than me! I'm 5'8" weighting 163lbs!
Natty, about the smoke, I have smoked for 18 years and for the last 4 or 5 years I had 2-3 packs a day. I quit smoking two years ago, never felt so good. It's hard during the first couple of weeks, then you can handle it.

Guess I could beat all you guys up at the same time!

I'm 6'2 and 260 and very mean.

Been a non-smoker for 5 years now after smoking for 8 years up to 2 packs a day.

Congrats on the weight loss Tim!

thanks everyone, i really don't have any big secret to it. i just quit eating so darn much. i was drinking 6 to 8 pepsis a day plus micky ds and burger king and... twice a day. i cut my intake down to under 1500 calories a day and lost about 2 lbs a week. i was in no hurry. i didn't excersize either. i plan on joining the gym somtime this fall.

i don' smoke which i'm thankful for. both of my parents smoke and the smoke bothered so much growing up that not smoking wasn't a problem for me.

i know now the hard part is to keep it off.

Good for you Tim! I need to drop about 30 to 40 lbs and quit smoking too! Maybe this will give me a little incentive!
