new paint

I got a new paint job and was wondering is it safe to use a sealent or should I wait?

Talk to the body shop or paint guys and see how long they suggest waiting before doing anything to it. In the meantme, something like a glaze will work.

I recommend waiting at least 2 months and NOT talking to the shop guys. LOL My painter told me that it was safe to put on wax right away and he even recommend that I do. Well, I did and a year after the paint never cured properly and was softer than a cotton ball. For real, I just looked at the paint wrong and it scratched.

:yeah , you should wait 2-3 months before you put wax or sealant on it. In the meantime you can use meguiars #81. It was designed to be used on newly painted finishes.
