CARTfan would be a good candidate for mayor of Detail City.
Detailing Shop Locator?

Besides the Yellow Pages, is there any type of Detail Shop locator? Like a database with registered shops with certain credentials and such? I'm in the Greenville, SC area and would like to find a good shop to take care of my paint issue.

Re: Detailing Shop Locator?

Yellow pages are the only way to find detailers unless you get a referal from somewhere. There isn't like a national registry of detailers or anything like that.

Re: Detailing Shop Locator?

The closest thing to something like that is the listing on the Auto Int site of those who are in the Trusted Professional Detailer program and the PDTA site has a similar one. Detailers pay to be on the list.

Re: Detailing Shop Locator?

I didn't know that autoint charged. I've been listed on there for a few years and they never asked me for money. They only list detailers who use their products though. I would guess that many industrial product suppliers would have a list like that for the shops they supply or detailers who are frequent customers. They are stupid if they don't have something like that.

Re: Detailing Shop Locator?

I think PDTA charges, or it's a feature after paying for the membership. I believe I also saw a third site and they clearly indicated they charge for the list.

I agree about the industrial suppliers. Having such lists would get both their name and the detailer's out more.
