Wink Need help removing...

Recently, I backed out of my garage and, not thinking, clipped the side with my left-front bumber. This left white paint on the front of my car. Do you crafty gentlemen know of any way I can get this out. Thanks in advance.

Re: Need help removing...

Hi Rainx :welcome

If it is only paint transfer from the garage, you should be able to remove it, by claying and polishing the area, but a picture of the area, would help to be more accurate.

Good luck,
"J"

PhaRO would be a good candidate for mayor of Detail City.
Re: Need help removing...

Clay works. If you have a polish or even a cleaner wax that will work too. A buffer like a PC will make it very easy. If doing by hand it can sometimes be time consuming depending on location and amount of transfer. Don't try something harsh like a rubbing compound unless you are familiar with how to use it. Before I had a PC and clay, I used meguirs cleaner wax and removed a lot of paint transfer over the years. Some days I rubbed blisters into my finger tips . Other days it was a 30second fix.

Re: Need help removing...

Meguiar's ScratchX is what I would use to remove paint transfer. It's great for that kind of thing. Hoepfully you didn't gouge your paint along the way. Rarely have I remove paint transfer on a car without there being damage underneath it.

Re: Need help removing...

Actually, it's not much. It clipped the front-left corner leaving a couple of streaks. A little got on the headlight also. The streaks are white and are approximately 1 foot in length. I am going to try to get some scratch x today. Any other suggestions would be great however.
