I have a small problem with a job

Client just called and told me that his car 1992 or so Nissan 300Z ablck..has lost it's shine and luster.
The car looke dgreta when I did it..
He said after today's sunny day..he has noticed that the car in some areas ONLY has some luster loss..YET teh surface is still super slick...he's saying that it looks to be UNDER the clear coat...
I used teh following with PC:
Clay Bar
SSR3
SSR2.5
(used some Pinnacle Advanced SMR-but I didn't like it..so I didn't continue with it)
PB Pro Polish
ended with UPP.
That's it.
I have used these steps before with no problems...
Could it be a question of the FIBERGLASS responding BADLY to the product..

I haven't seen the car yet-I going to work oni t tomorrow..But does anyone have any idea what it can be or what steps I should do??
Thanks...Here's a pic of the car:

Re: I have a small problem with a job

Like you said without looking at the car it's pretty difficult to guess, but here's mine...there may be spots where you used the SSR3 and left a little micro-marring or haze, it might have been on an angle and by the time you had finished sealing it with the UPP it was hidden temporarily. You may have to go back and do some polishing with the SSR2.5 to repair those dull spots and then proceed to either SSR1 or back to the UPP...:dunno ..that's my guess

Re: I have a small problem with a job

I was stumped but what steve said sounds right. SSR3 is pretty abrasive stuff. Any hazing left on the paint will really dull the sharpness and reflectiveness in the paint.

Re: I have a small problem with a job

Well I dropped by to take a look..I couldn't wait until tomorrow..Well it is VERY minor and it looked like due form the morning mist..but not just wipeable.
It was not that bad..I expected MUCH worse..
I didn't bring anything with me to try on it though....but I rubbed the small areas concerned with my finger really hard as if I was polishing..and it did remove the haze..now I see that it comes off..so I know it has to do with some product residue..

I was thinking going over it with AIO just to REMOVE what is there..and then just apply UPP over it..How's that???

The ssr2.5 sounds like a right plan as well..

Re: I have a small problem with a job

Just go over it with a little QD or give the car a wash and a QD to give it an extra little refresher to the UPP. The product residue should come off with the wash and QD no need to go back over it and strip the UPP and reapply.

NBope..that won't work..
Definitely needs to be machined off...
It's almost baked on..I put some water over it and it didn't even have an effect...
When I used my finger and rubbed really hard...I realized that even with soap wash...this will stay behind..QD..MAYBE???? BUT I doubt it..
I'm going there this evening and I ll start from low impact and move up as necessary...
