medallion premium paint cleaner
So I had an old bottle of this laying around because I never had great results with it.
I have moved on to other things now, but never asked the question of what people thought of this product. It is a chemical cleaner correct? Is it even comparable to something like AIO? I never hear anyone using it. |

MPPC is strictly a cleaner with no protective properties, so it's not really comparable to Klasse AIO. MPPC was designed to precede its companion product, Medallion Premium Paint Protection (another very good product for its time). |

At what point do you use these cleaners? I have some Mothers (I think) body scrub that I have used in the passed, is that the same?

I generally like to use a straight chemical cleaner as a first step (after washing, of course) on badly neglected or oxidized finishes. The cleaner will strip off the majority of the oxidation and chemical contaminants so that you can get a good look at the real condition of the paint. At that point, you can make decisions regarding claying and abrasives. My favorite chemical cleaners are MPPC and Poorboy's Professional Polish. Chemical cleaners are also good for prepping a well maintained finish for LSPs. My favorite chemical cleaners for base coats are Clearkote Vanilla Moose, Poorboy's Polish with Carnuba, and Klasse AIO. |

The Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner (step 1) is very similar to the MPPC... both are very good products. I will miss MPPC! :boohoo |

MPPC is the frickin' bomb-diggity.
Nothing better for tar or bugsplat. I picked up one last bottle on sale here: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/garagesale.html
