Local Swirl Remover
What scratch and swirl removers could be had locally and be used by hand? I wanna do my car, but dont wanna get into getting a PC yet and all, so whats some good local stuff? I know scratchx is good, but would it be to hard to do a whole car with it?
Thanks, Matt |

It was a lot of work for less than great results. Heck, swirl removal with a PC can be a lot of work. If you do decide to try it by hand, take it in sections so you don't get too discouraged. Scratch X is intended for use by hand and I have used it in small areas with pretty good results. Here again, an entire vehicle will be a lot of work, but it can be done. Charles |

Most hardware stores seem to have it too. #9 is the polish I see the most around my area. I have seen it an napa like charles has mention but if you cant find it there or at autozone try a hardware store.

Re: Local Swirl Remover
I've found #9 at my Pepboys and NAPA, you could also try the local Auto body supply house.
But be aware that swirl removal by hand will be a long process, not that it can't be done, but will definately take time. Good luck "J"

Re: Local Swirl Remover
I've tried useing Scratch-x On some fine scratches using up to 4 coats with no success. WHich sucks because I hear alot of good things about it. My whole car is covered in fine scratches and embedded water spots I can't get off.
