paint problems, (swirls stains scartchs oxidation
I doing my girlfriends 1992 red skylark.
THe paint has all the defects of a car that has been neglicated. So to start off I used this combo. 1. Meguires medium cut cleaner with red foam cutting pad (went over twice) 2. switched to yellow pad and used GM swirl remover 3. put a 3m hand glaze on 4. Turtle wax I still see scratchs and dullness. NOt happy with results. Should I Wet sand first? |

You might be seeing the haze left behind from that cutting pad still. I would suggest some more polishing with milder polishes and pads (in a step down fashion) before you go wet sanding the car.
Some pics might also help in describing your problem.
