Sounds like its the way you are using it.
Work in a small area wipe it on thin and then buff. "J"

do to its carnuaba content it will smear. its normal .. mist a panel. give a wipe and then go over again and buff to a shine.. as far as a drying aid q/d its not the best. it does take more elbow grease.. ive been useing (adams) or ( last touch) more often for washes and crystal ,mist once in a while to recharge the wax.....

try using less product. A little mist is all it takes wipe with one side of your microfiber then flip the towel and lightly buff dry. It should be clear and slick with no streaks.
