NHBFAN is starting to get a good reputation around here.
How would you describe the EX shine?

Applied EX to my red truck yesterday. It's not a reflective as some products I've tried, e.g., Klasse twins or S100, but it's a really good look. Seems the color changes a little (more orange).

I like EX but it's hard to describe.

I would say you just described it well...

On darker colors it seems to make it deeper at the expense of a little clarity...on lighter colors it seems to give the POP that light colors just don't seem to always give...IMO

I think that the pop on the lighter colors is great, I have a light colored Jeep and it really has a wet looking shine.

I found the same results when I used EX on an Acura that had a color similiar to Beemerboys jeep.

I was extremely pleased as was the owner

I haven't tried it yet on a dark color so I can't comment on that.

Here is the BMW after the second coat of PB/EX. I think the second time it made the car alot wetter looking. So to sum up what I did is

I washed and dried and clay barred the car. Used the SSR2 Swril remover, then a coat of Klasse because I was running real low on PB product. Then a coat of EX and then repeated the process the next day. I always go over the car with a MF towel and some QD spary after just to make sure that I have picked up all the wax.

Very nice work Dave!! Does that car ever get dirty

Did you notice any change in the clarity of the paint? From the pics it looks awesome.

How long did you let the EX set up? Did you use the rotary with the SSR2?

RT

This car hardley ever gets dirty because its always garaged and I was it once a week.

I did everything by hand on this job. The car has little to no swrils so it was easier to do by hand.
The Clarity on the second coar really brought the wet look in it. I think that I'm going to do it again when I get back from vacation.
I let the EX on there for 40 minutes while I was talking to Steve at PB's yes he can talk alot:p

BeemerBoy,

I've noticed the same thing with the EX. A second, and third coat seems to improve the look, and then it kind of flattens out. Same thing with Platinum's UPP. Still, with either product, the look after the 2 or 3 coats is extemely nice.
