vinyl and dashboard cleaners

i just tried meguiar's vinyl and rubber cleaner. i used it with a buffing pad.
I didn't get a great shine.do some cleaners just clean and protect or there are ones that give a good shine and clean at the same time

Re: vinyl and dashboard cleaners

When you say Meguiar's, ya gotta be more specific! :-p
Did you use something from the Gold Class line? The red bottle? #40 from the Mirror Glaze line? DETAILS MAN!!!!! :-p

(#40 doesn't leave a lot of shine. A bit more "natural" of a look. If you want lots of shine, I've read (Not tried personally) that NXT protectant is pretty shiny, but it's strictly a dressing, no cleaner, I believe. The others, well, I can't help you there. Sorry.)
