    Horror Story - Arrgggghhhhh

So I got home fromthe Detail Weekend, beat. Had to go to NY this morning. My wife had my car, I took hers. All of a sudden I think it`s sprinkling out. So I kick on the wipers. The "sprinkles" didn`t go away, but added a few smear.

Horror of all horror. It`s sap. Stick my hand out the window and felt the top sill, yep little hard dots. Put my hand down, yep little hard spots. Get to my destination look over the whole car, it`s all over!!!! One of our neighbors trees must me misting the stuff.

I had to go out at about 6:30 tonight and now it`s all over my car.
This is a pic to show how good it *looked* after the PB detail weekend.

My son calls me later and tells me it`s all over his car too.

I promised my son that I would do/help 2 of his friends detailing this Thursday since it`s supposed to be ther nicest day. So now I got 4+ cars tht need attention.

Wrong neighbor. This is the one that uses the leaf blower or mows her lawn when I`m detailing.

Raggtopp cleaner. It`s the only product I`ll use for cloth tops and tops from Germany.

Then, after it`s dry, apply the protectant.

Make sure you wash it really well first, then apply the cleaner and use a brush to loosen the sap so it can be rinsed off. Let the cleaner sit, brush well and rinse.

You`ll also end up cleaning any dirt off the tops as well.

The protectant works very well once the top is dry and clean. If it`s not clean, it does not bond well, but when it does, you`ll see the results after the first rain.

Sure, you can also use an APC type product to loose and remove most of it, but you do not want it too strong as it can remove dye.

This is why I use RaggTopp cleaner, I know it will do what I want w/o damage.
