    thanksgiving wash!

being today is a special holiday and i will be having tons of family over, i just had to clean my car up and whore it to everyone, including you guys.
    ]
im thankful for having such a cool place to come and read, share, and look at awesome work.

have a happy thanksgiving all of you.

    current combo on it is:

ocp (optimum car polish) via makita, finishing pad @ 1000rpms
4star upps (ultimate paint protection spray)

the above regimen was done about 3 weeks ago today and still going strong. 3 weeks isnt much time, but beading, slickness and looks aer all still there. not bad for a spray wax that works like a qd.

tires were dressed using "turtlewax f21 super protectant"...read my other thread for review and better pics of the dressing.

    AND THE MONEY SHOT!

    P.S.

thanks a lot greg for the help. if it wasnt for realising my pads were all wrong for my rotory, i wouldnt have ever figured it out and probably put away my makita for good.

Looks great! As you have shown, UPPS works awesome on a properly prepped paint finish. Dwayne set me up with a sample bottle a few weeks ago and UPPS is a great new product. Thanks for sharing.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

My automatic lenses darkened when I got to the last picture. Very bright and vibrant.

    Re: thanksgiving wash!

by wrong pads i was referring to the edge2k pads. they are incfredibly harder (lack of a better word) and denser than most pads. so naturally a finshing pad kept fgiving me halos a polihing pad would normally give.

when greg suggested i use different pads, the difference in softness and results were a mile apart. edge2k pads, although they say u can sue with a rotory, should be only used for pc in my opinion. gives the pc more of a bite.

as for the car next to me, thats my moms 750Li. its on horiible shape. when she first got it a couple months ago i promised to detaila nd maintain for free as long as no one else touched it. one week later, the dousche in the office parking lot had his pressure washer and chamois all over it.

lets just say it needs lots of love! maybe ill offer the whole free detail and maintanance if she keeps her word this time

The car does look great, but I want the house.

I can afford a car like that, I can only dream of a house like that. I could even learn to live with the hot weather and the hurricanes.
